When analysing the MixMag Reader Profile I have found out that;
- The medium age of a MixMag reader is 24.
- The majority live in cities.
- The majority are also single.
- As you can see by the chart above that 72% of the readers are male
- They have high disposable income to spend on Nights Out, Clothes, Music, latest phones, tech and DJ equipment.
- MixMags demographic spans from budding bedroom DJs, to highly accomplished producers.

Another Music Magazine I decided to analyse was NME because its one of the biggest music magazines available at the moment. NME is Alternative/Rock magazine.
NME was launched in 1952 and is now a weekly magazine with a cost of £2.20.

- The average age of the reader is 25
- The target audience is men from 17-30
- 52% of the audience are interested in taking a music course/ qualification.
- 80% feel that music is very important in there lives.
- 59% like to keep up with the latest technologies.
- 67% have bought something online over the past 12 months.
- 52% are working and 26% are full time students.
- 77% have at least been to one festival or concert.
How will this effect my research?
This will effect my research by the contents of my magazine on what people are interested in my genre and also as a target audience in total. For example, I will be talking more about clubbing nights in main cities around England and also clubbing holiday destinations. I will also talk about new technology for music. anything from speakers to mp3 players etc. My target audience seems to be males in there early 20's so that will give me a sense of what sociolect shall be used in the writing and how it can relate to them.

I have decided to choose this group as my target audience because of researching other electronic music magazines who all fall into the place of this target audience. I have also chosen this target audience because what I will be talking about which is not just electronic music is things such as nights out, new technology and certain clothing that I know that my target audience will enjoy therefore leading to the magazine being sold to that target audience.
